Upgrading from a 992 Targa 4 to a 992 targa 4S comes at a price but what do you get for that extra cost?
The 992 Targa 4S boasts 443 horsepower from its twin-turbocharged 3.0ltr boxer engine, paired with an eight-speed PDK transmission and Porsche's refined all-wheel-drive system. With 390 ft lbs of torque available from as low as 2300 rpm, it delivers ample mid-range power for any driving scenario. Compared to its predecessor, the new model offers a bump of 2 hp and 22 ft lbs of torque. It benefits from 992-generation updates including redesigned Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) dampers, a wider front track, and staggered-size wheels. Despite its weight nearing 4,000 lbs, the Targa 4S achieves impressive performance, reaching 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds with launch control enabled.
While it may not be the sharpest 911 in terms of handling, the Targa 4S offers dynamic prowess comparable to supercars of the past. Its all-wheel-drive system, comfortable interior, and iconic design make it a compelling choice. Optional features like the Sports Package, rear-axle steering system, and front-axle-lift system further enhance its appeal.
Additionally, the 2022 911 features an upgraded infotainment system with a new 10.9-inch touchscreen interface, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility, further elevating its tech-savvy appeal.
