Porsche’s diesel iteration presents a compelling transformation of Audi’s platform. Despite its compact dimensions, the 95B.1 Macan S Diesel bears no overt resemblance to the Q5. Porsche’s design team meticulously crafted both the interior and exterior to ensure a distinct identity.
Under the bonnet, the 95B.1 Macan S Diesel is propelled by a potent 3.0ltr V6 turbocharged engine, generating 258hp. This model also boasts an active all-wheel-drive system with an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch, a standard feature across the Macan lineup. Paired with a seven-speed double-clutch transmission, power delivery is seamless, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds.
Notably, the Macan S Diesel excels as a long-distance runner among its counterparts. Its 3.0ltr V6 engine achieves impressive fuel efficiency, with NEDC consumption figures ranging from just 6.3 to 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers, corresponding to CO2 emissions between 159 and 164 g/km. Despite its economical prowess, the Macan S Diesel doesn’t compromise on performance, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds (or 6.1 seconds with the Sport Chrono package) and reaching a top speed of 230 km/h.
