The Porsche 993 1996-98 WITH STANDARD REAR SPOILER , the factory ductwork is replaced with heat-shielding carbon fiber with enhanced inlets to capture the maximum amount of air. Lower intake air temperatures carry higher concentrations of oxygen, allowing for more energetic explosions and producing more horsepower and torque. Of course, reliability is never sacrificed -- high-efficiency, high-flow air filter materials prevent contaminants from interfering with proper engine function.

Cone filters have superior air flow characteristics as compared to flat panel filters. The cone filter better structures the air as it enters through the filter and the additional intake length and shape of this system further increases air flow for smoother straighter more formed air.

The Porsche part is ugly roto-formed cheap plastic with parting lines whereas accurate replica is carbon fiber.
Saves 8 to 9lbs about 4Kg from the rear of all 964's and 993's. Will not work on C2 Turbos/965 cars.
Replaces blower motor assembly and ductwork and still allows plenty of heat just like the factory RS part.
