BRSCC Porsche Championship in 2011

The BRSCC and Porscheracing Drivers Association (PDA) have today announced a deal with Design 911 for them to be the title sponsors of the BRSCC Porsche Championship in 2011.

For the new season, which starts with a double header at Silverstone on the 9/10th April, the championship will officially be called the Design911.com Porsche Championship. The addition of a class for the Boxster S to the long-standing and original 924’s breathed new life into the championship in 2010 and that growth looks set to continue this year and beyond.

Design 911 is one of the largest dedicated replacement and performance parts suppliers of Porsche products in the UK. Their delivery network expands to over 120 countries world wide and they supply products direct to retail, independent garages and workshops. With over 22,000 different parts in stock and with the best logistics systems they deliver what their customers need fast.

Design 911’s Karl Chopra commented “We are very proud to associate our name with this growing championship which has a great future and a clear synergy with our business. Design 911 have set new levels of achievement in a highly competitive market and we have enjoyed consistent 20% annual growth rate. Similarly, the championship has gone from strength to strength over the last two years and we look forward to helping accelerate that growth further.”

Boxster competitor and driver representative Nick Hull is as equally enthusiastic about the tie-up, “2010 was a great season for both the 924’s and Boxsters but the impetus the sponsorship from Design 911 will give the championship will really help us all drive it forward. We look forward to a long and prosperous association with Design 911”.

Design911 are also competing in the BRSCC Porsche Championship with a Porsche Boxster S driven by Karl Chopra’s son 16 year old Nikhil Chopra. Nikhil’s experience for racing comes from his karting back ground and driver tuition by Project One based at Bayford Meadows race track.
