About Taycan 4S Sport Turismo

The Taycan 4S emerges as the more accessible rendition of Porsche's four-door electric marvel, maintaining impressive performance while carrying a lofty price tag. Positioned as the sweet spot within Porsche's electric four-door sports car lineup, the 4S delivers ample power for daily use and a suite of features that justify its cost. Equipped with a base 79.2-kWh battery pack, it churns out a total of 522 horsepower, while opting for the optional 93.4-kWh Performance Battery Plus boosts output to 563 horses. Porsche boasts a zero-to-60-mph sprint time of 3.8 seconds for the 4S.

Initially revealed alongside the Turbo and Turbo S variants, the Taycan 4S represents Porsche's commitment to offering electrifying performance across its lineup. Despite its more accessible pricing, the 4S retains the sleek body style and dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup of its counterparts. A two-speed transmission at the rear axle and a single-speed unit at the front ensure dynamic power distribution. The base model, powered by the 79.2-kWh battery, generates 429 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque, with an overboost function pushing it to 522 hp. Opting for the Performance Battery Plus increases power to 482 hp and 479 lb-ft, with an overboost capability elevating output to 563 hp.

Both versions boast a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph, as confirmed by Porsche. While specific range figures are pending, Porsche promises to disclose them prior to the car's release. Complementing its electrified performance, the Taycan 4S features Porsche's 4D adaptive chassis, three-chamber air suspension, steel brake rotors, and distinctive red calipers.

Externally, the Taycan 4S shares similarities with its Turbo and Turbo S siblings, albeit with subtle distinctions. Noteworthy alterations also extend to the lighting system, with LED lights, including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus, provided as standard. The 9J1 Taycan Sport Turismo distinguishes itself with a higher roofline and redesigned rear end, providing a larger boot and additional headspace for rear passengers compared to the standard Taycan. Inspired by the Panamera Sport Turismo models, this wagon-style EV aims to appeal to a broader demographic, offering practicality and versatility without the crossover cladding and higher suspension of the Cross Turismo variant.

Inside, the Taycan 4S maintains Porsche's signature luxury, featuring a partial-leather interior, eight-way front seats, keyless entry, and ambient interior lighting. For those seeking a cruelty-free option, a no-leather interior is available. The interior layout mirrors that of the Turbo and Turbo S models, boasting a sleek design with multiple screens reminiscent of Porsche's iconic 911.
