About Panamera 4S 2.9L Twin-Turbo V6 Sport Turismo

The 2017 971.1 Panamera 4S Sport Turismo made its debut as more of a shooting-brake than a conventional station wagon, sporting a design reminiscent of the lowered Macan rather than the typical Panamera wagon. Its aerodynamically inclined raked rear prioritized sleekness over cargo capacity, embodying the latest technological and design advancements introduced with the new Panamera model line launched the previous year.

Equipped with the digital Porsche Advanced Cockpit and advanced assistance systems like Porsche InnoDrive with adaptive cruise control, the Panamera 4S Sport Turismo also boasted chassis enhancements such as rear axle steering and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC Sport). Furthermore, all Panamera Sport Turismo models featured Porsche Traction Management (PTM) active all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension with three-chamber technology for S models.

The unique rear design of the Sport Turismo commenced from the B-pillars, featuring an elongated window line and roof contour that lent the vehicle a distinctive appearance. The roof transitioned into a coupe-like D-pillar, while an adaptive spoiler at the top of the vehicle adjusted its angle in three stages, providing up to 50 kg of additional downforce on the rear axle based on driving conditions and settings.

Inside, the Sport Turismo offered versatility with three rear seats, with the outer seats designed as individual seats for a balanced combination of sporty performance and passenger comfort. This configuration created a 2+1 seating arrangement at the rear, although a four-seat option with two electrically adjustable individual seats was also available.

Under the bonnet, the 971.1 Panamera 4S Sport Turismo featured a2.9ltr  twin-turbo V6 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic PDK (Porsche dual-clutch) transmission and all-wheel drive. With 434 bhp at 5650 rpm and 406 ft lbs of torque at 1750 rpm, it could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, with a top speed approaching 180 mph.
