0 – 60 mph is dispatched in a mere 3.0 seconds, but real-world tests reveal even more impressive numbers, with Car and Driver clocking it at 2.6 seconds. Reaching 100 mph takes just 6.2 seconds, and it blazes through the quarter-mile in 10.6 seconds at 130 mph. Its top speed matches the turbo S coupe at 205 mph.
Porsche's enhancements include a Turbo S–specific turbocharger, boosting the 3.8ltr flat-six to 580 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, a bump of 20 hp from the previous generation. Revised all-wheel drive and traction-management systems ensure precise torque distribution, while the standard Sport Chrono package offers various driving modes and a Sport Response button for immediate powertrain readiness.
Inside, standard features include the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with a 7” touch-screen featuring Google Maps and real-time traffic. A premium 555-watt Bose sound system with 12 speakers is standard, with an optional Burmester 821-watt upgrade available.
