About 991 Targa 4 3.0L (370 Bhp)

The 991.1 Targa revived the original Targa concept with a stylish design and innovative technical features. Porsche wanted to bring back the classic look without the inconvenience of manually removing the roof panel. The solution was an automated system that performs an impressive mechanical sequence. The rear window and body panel tilt up, the fabric-covered magnesium roof folds back and stows away, and the window and panel return to position. This 19-second operation, which must be done while stationary, added a dramatic flair.

The  991.2 Targa retained this roof mechanism and became the standout model in the 911 lineup. It featured mild design updates consistent with the 991.2 changes and introduced a new twin-turbocharged 3.0ltr engine, replacing the naturally aspirated 3.4ltr flat-six. The Targa 4 remained an all-weather, all-wheel-drive 911.

Over one-third of Porsche 911 buyers prefer all-wheel-drive models. The new 911 Targa 4 offers increased performance and comfort with more powerful, fuel-efficient turbocharged engines and an enhanced AWD system for better dynamics and safety. The standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) lowers the ride height by ten millimeters, balancing sporty and relaxed driving. Optional rear-axle steering for the Carrera 4S boosts agility.

Interior improvements include the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a multi-touch display. The AWD models feature unique design elements, such as a distinctive light strip between the rear lights, wider rear wings, four-point daytime running lights, door handles without recess covers, a redesigned rear lid with vertical louvres, and new rear lights with four-point brake lights.
